The outer-design of the Babycook Solo bowl is made up of 3 parts:

 

1. the bowl itself (which is one solid clear piece, so food inside cannot come in contact with outside contaminants)
2. the base (colored ring at the bottom)
3. the handle (colored piece that sits on top of the clear handle).

Because of small gaps at the top of the handle, it is possible for water (or even food) to become trapped inside, so the bowls are designed so that you can separate the 3 parts for a thorough cleaning.
